A Childhood Love Story
Judith's Candy Collection is a vibrant exploration that frequently retraces her colorful artistic journey, drawing inspiration from playful childhood memories and fantasies. Her painted forms seamlessly shift from deceptively simple to intricately complex, all the while staying true to this recurring theme.

In "Searching for Candy Land," Judith's audacious color palette appears to waltz in harmony with her swaying grasses. In "Candy Trees," her brushstrokes seem to dance along with the falling leaves, and in her piece titled "Skittles and Bubblegum," her tiny, colorful spots beckon to the viewer. Judith's paintings extend an enticing invitation, evoking an almost irresistible urge to reach out and touch them, even to taste the sweetness they exude—a nostalgia for the cherished candies of childhood lingering in the minds of all who behold them.

Judith - "I have had a sweet tooth for as long as I can remember, and I associate many good things in my life over a simple piece of candy. In fact, I love candy! I began my Candy collection with a simple commission request from a children’s hospital. I subsequently began a quest to create a painting that children would enjoy and be able to touch and relate to. The nurse in me wanted it to be accessible and therapeutic as well. I suddenly thought, “What child doesn’t like candy?” And so, the collection was born. The response from the children was so joyful that I still feel compelled to this day to continue building on this concept. It is a pure labor of love that brings me great satisfaction. What I never expected was the overwhelmingly positive response I likewise received from children’s parents, hospital staff, and most surprisingly, my art collectors. The candy collection is the inception of my sculpted series of painted confections. All of my collections cross over from time to time."
